		<description>Thanks for the advice- I&#039;ve put the mini-mill on temporary hold but am planning to use the HobbyCNC board for another project. EMC2 has the distinct advantage of being GPL as well :)

HobbyCNC boards are CHEAP. The 1-turn adjustable capacitors used to tune the current output are way too sensitive. i highly recommend you replace them with 5 or even 10-turn versions. i have both the pro and regular boards. replaced all of them. other then that, they are rather nice. i do notice some issues with Mach3 while EMC2 works flawlessly, but all in all, good enough for what you want ;)
